Explore historic Mountain View, Arkansas and experience the only total solar eclipse in the USA until 2044. Totality will last for 4 minutes and 14 seconds on April 8th at 1:52 PM. Thousands will come to visit, so parking will be hard to come by. Our parking spots are one of the closest available to the historic downtown of Mountain View. Every spot is less than half a mile away from the old Courthouse, where live music and most of the Eclipse Festival events will be held. Make sure to reserve your spot, so you can enjoy your time here without worrying about trying to find a spot to park. Each daily parking pass will be for your use to come and go throughout the day, as long as assigned passes are displayed in car and appropriate ID is shown for reentry.
Mountain View is known as the "Folk Music Capitol of the World," and for good reason. You will often see musicians "pickin'" in the park and playing for all to hear. Bring your instrument and join right in. The Ozark Folk Center is home to many local craftsmen who use time-honored traditional skills to carve beautiful works of art. Not only does Mountain View have a rich culture, but the land it is on is nearly as inspiring. Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Mountain View is home to breath-taking nature. The White River is only a few minutes from town and is perfect for catching trout, bass, and catfish. There are countless hiking trails and a bike trial in which you can immerse yourself in nature and view the local wildlife. Blanchard Springs Caverns is one of the most spectacular living cave systems in the world. The possibilities are endless for one to enjoy time in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Other activates our town has to offer: Watch a movie with some of the most comfortable seating at The Stream Theater or go to a drive in movie at the Stone County Drive In. Play Disc Golf at our awesome course in the City Park that hosts a multitude of tournaments. Purchase tickets and visit the Folk Center State Park or Blanchard Springs Caverns. Go on a guided fishing trip with Angler's or Jack's Fishing Resort. Check out Sylamore Bike Trail, Sylamore Creek, the Amphitheater at the City Park, the Swinging Bridge. These are just a few other activities you can do if you want additional activities beside the Eclipse Festival. Our town has so many wonderful restaurants that will delight you, and so much more... you just have to be here to appreciate the beauty of our rural town. See you soon!

Disclaimer: Liability waivers must be signed prior to entering parking area. This is a park at your own risk area. Parking is in a field with a pond. Due to weather, you understand that sometimes fields may be muddy and pose a risk of your vehicle bogging down. Also, weather can impede entertainment schedules. You acknowledge your understanding of this by purchasing a parking pass ticket. If parking spots remain available, a select number may be sold at the gate with a signed wavier and appropriate ID. No refunds will be issued. You may purchase the protection plan if you want added protection for a refund.

You will be within a half mile of walking distance to our historic downtown courthouse Mountain View, Arkansas where most of the Solar eclipse 2024 Eclipse Festival events will take place, and near shopping and restaurants. No hills, waiting in line for shuttles, and no hassle! Enjoy your leisurely walk to downtown!

We suggest to print these off ahead of time, just in case we do lose internet/gps capabilities.
